Bondor is founded in 1963, with headquarter in QLD, Australia, part of the global Metecno group. So far there are 5 factories across Australia. Bondor bought Norfoam Australia based in Townsville and Innisfail, QLD Australia.
Bondor has earned its place as Australia's leader in complete thermal building solutions and lightweight architectural panels for walling & roofing, by being the countries only manufacturer and leading innovator of EPS-FR cored panel, Factory Mutual Approved PIR cored panel and FM Approved mineral fibre cored panel.
In the production process of Bondor, a large amount of Polystyrene will be produced in the process of trimming finished products and a small amount of polystyrene scraps. At first, they were aggressive about dealing with this problem, doing polystyrene dust recycling, but in an unprofessional way: collecting the polystyrene immediately with a vacuum cleaner. This collection method requires the dust bag to be emptied from time to time, which can seriously affect work efficiency, and sometimes even require the bag to be replaced every 30 minutes. This again bodes well for a large workforce. What's worse, when the gas cylinder bag is replaced, the workshop will be filled with polystyrene dust, scattered everywhere, bringing serious 5s problems and potential safety risks, and it is also detrimental to the health and personal safety of operators. Faced with this situation, Bondor wanted to find a professional way to solve the current dilemma and carry out an efficient polystyrene recycling project.
In order to get out of this situation as soon as possible, Bondor approached INTCO Recycling for help, hoping that we could recommend GREENMAX polystyrene recycling equipment to completely finish the Polystyrene dust recycling. After repeated negotiations and tests, we determined the general direction of equipment as hot melting machine. In February, the first GREENMAX machine offered by INTCO Recycling was installed in Bondor Victoria, a second in the Bondor Brisbane area. From the second one, GREENMAX team has upgraded the system equipped with Vibrator and high-level sensor. The vibrator can resolve bridge problems in the hopper and high-level sensor is used for monitoring the polystyrene dust flow speed. When the hopper is full, the high-level sensor is not working and when hopper is close to being empty, it would start working and it would give a signal to screw feeder to cease working.
Through the above improvements, GREENMAX polystyrene dust recycling machine can work automatically. Bondor is very satisfied, so far, Bondor ordered 3 sets of equipment at a time. Installed in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth respectively. INTCO Recycling is passionate about developing the best solutions for polystyrene, polystyrene dust and other foams.
