Karran USA is one of the leading manufacturers of kitchen and bathroom sinks and faucets, producing sinks in a variety of durable materials, including stainless steel, acrylic, quartz composite, and glass, among others. And EPS and PE foam are used in packing their products. As their business keeps expanding, the amount of foam waste generated when packaging products increases. So Karran started recycling waste foam, hoping to realize the goal of "sustainability" while solving the waste.
As early as 6 years ago, Karran bought a densifier of another brand, and the effect of processing EPS foam was good. However, after long-term use, it was found that the machine will be crushed and overloaded when processing PE foam, and the material cannot be completely melted. Karran is very troubled by this situation because with the increase of waste, PE foam waste accounts for more, but the situation of over-melting led to low efficiency and waste accumulation.
After learning of their dilemma, INTCO dispatched workers to find the reason for over-melting in July 2022. After examination, INTCO found that their EPS foam density is 2 lbs, while PE foam density is 1.7 lbs to 2 lbs. The density is different, so the machine cannot process two different foams normally. As more and more PE foam became available, the company decided to purchase another foam densifier to process the PE foam separately. And a foam densifier is easy to operate, and its compression ratio is larger than other machines, so the recycling efficiency is higher.
INTCO Recycling is a professional foam recycling machine manufacturer and Karran trusted us. According to their current waste foam quantity and recycling plan, INTCO recommend foam densifier M-C200E to them. This machine is a double-crushing structure, equipped with a bottom stirring device, and increases the heating power to ensure the degree of melting. After deciding on the model, the machine is quickly transported to Karran's warehouse and put into operation. This densifier meets the need for separate processing of two different foams. This foam densifier improves the efficiency of their warehouse and allows Karran to truly realize the concept of ESG through recycling.
