PRC Industries (referred to as PRC) is a company in North Carolina, the USA that specializes in the management, remanufacturing, reprocessing, repair, and recycling of returned industrial and consumer products. It has now reached the level of an industry leader. Usually, many defective, damaged and irreparable products are discarded at will, which not only causes environmental pollution, but also wastes a lot of manpower, material resources, and financial resources. By manufacturing, processing, and repairing returned products, PRC is able to give new life to these products. PRC currently provides remanufacturing and supply chain services in 4 locations in the United States, and 1 in Ontario, Canada.
In the process of repairing and processing returned products, there will generate a lot of waste foam packaging in PRC's service points. There used to be a second-hand unknown foam recycling machine to process waste foam, but due to the slow processing efficiency and low compression density (the actual compression ratio is less than 30:1), it has been unable to truly meet their demand for foam recycling.
The first cooperation between PRC and INTCO Recycling originated many years ago, when INTCO Recycling bought a container of compressed foam blocks from the PRC. Due to the low compression density ratio and high freight costs, the unit price of the foam compression block is very low, and PRC cannot realize the benefits from this foam recycling project. In the previous cooperation process, PRC learned that Incorporated provides professional foam recycling solutions. The GREENMAX foam densifier independently developed and manufactured by INTCO Recycling can reach a compression ratio of 90:1. In this way, a 40HQ container can load up to 40,000 lbs, and the unit price of the compressed foam block is 3 times higher.
In the next few months, INTCO Recycling’s engineers and sales team conducted continuous discussions with PRC on foam recycling solutions and provided corresponding financial solutions based on PRC’s needs. After discussion, PRC finalized the recycling plan of the foam densifier M-C300 in December.
So far, GREENMAX foam densifier has been running well in the PRC warehouse for nearly a year, and INTCO Recycling has also successfully purchased 2 containers of hot melt foam waste (approximately 70,000 lbs).
By turning the discarded foam into an environmentally friendly photo frame, INTCO Recycling has successfully reduced carbon emissions by 300,000 tons per year, reduced the waste of oil resources by 450,000 tons, and avoided 2 million trees from being felled every year. In the future, INTCO Recycling will work together with more enterprises, together to promote the recycling of foam waste and other waste plastics.
