GREENMAX bottle dewatering machine helps the Mexican recycler expand PET bottle recycling business

Reciclados Plasticos Y Metales Del Monterrey (Abbreviated as Del Monterrey) is a Mexican recycler that specializes in plastic recycling, and it has contracts with local beverage filling plants to recycle expired or defective beverages.

Del Monterrey originally had a piece of locally-made equipment, which is similar to a pulverizer. After the bottle is thrown in, it will be simply pulverized to make the liquid flow out. However, this kind of machine has low water removal efficiency and productivity, and the processed bottles are not compressed, which still occupies a lot of space, resulting in high transportation costs. With the business development of the company, the current capacity of the equipment can no longer meet the demand, so Del Monterrey wants to find a more efficient machine for processing this kind of waste bottle.

Del Monterrey found GREENMAX through the Google search, which is an expert specializing in bottle recycling and bottle dewatering machine manufacturing. After learning about Del Monterrey’s material handling needs, GRRENMAX’s professional sales team recommended the P-C350 bottle dewatering machine and shared with them some other cases of using this equipment, such as the Pepsi factory in Thailand, the Nestlé factory in the United States, etc. In addition to GREENAMX, Del Monterrey also compared machines with similar functions from other brands. On the basis of the same quality and functions, Del Monterrey felt that GREENAMX's bottle dewatering machine could fully meet the needs and the price was more competitive, so they made a purchasing decision within two weeks.

Currently, Del Monterrey is very satisfied with the GREENMAX bottle dewatering machine. It runs the machine for 8 hours a day and processes a truck (53 feet) with a total of 48 trailers (1 towed 1440 bottles) of waste PET bottled beverages, 90% of which is 500ml bottles, 10% of 1L beverage bottles, and a small amount of 4L bottles. According to Del Monterrey's feedback, due to the impact of the epidemic, the amount of beverage bottle waste that can be received from the terminal has been reduced, so the bottle dewatering machine is not running at full capacity. If there are enough waste bottles that can be received every day, the bottle dewatering machine can process 2-3 trucks a day, greatly improving the processing efficiency and reducing their operating costs.

At present, PET bottle recycling in the Mexican market is very hot. Coca-Cola and PETSTAR have been promoting PET bottle recycling in Mexico, so the local demand for PET bottle recycling is also very strong. Del Monterrey is also continuing to discuss cooperation with the factories in other states of these bottled water manufacturers. In the future, it may require 2-3 units of bottle dewatering machines to further expand the PET bottle recycling business.
