GREENMAX Polystyrene Melting Machine Enables QLS Group and INTCO Recycling to Achieve win-win Cooperation

In Australia, there had been only 29.7% of polystyrene packaging was recycled, according to the Australia Packaging Covenant. But polystyrene is totally recyclable. Now some industries have begun their business of polystyrene recycling, and QLS Group is one of them.

In 2011, QLS Group was reborn after merging Queensland logistics services and DGR warehousing and distribution. Since then, QLS Group has rapidly expanded in both its clientele and has evolved its services available to them. QLS Group has warehousing and logistics distribution centers in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth, with cross-docking forming in Sydney, Adelaide, Darwin, Townsville, and Hobart.

As leading warehousing, logistics, and distribution company, with distribution centers across the country, QLS has a reputation for exceptional delivery service. With the business expanding and its support of Recycle Solutions’ recycling programs, QLS Group has also realized the significance of being environmentally sustainable. It’s necessary to put polystyrene recycling on the agenda.

As one of the largest polystyrene terminal users, INTCO has purchased compressed ingots from QLS Group since 2012. So, when QLS decided to recycle polystyrene, INTCO Recycling was the principal consideration for them.

In September 2017, QLS Group proposed to have knowledge of the GREENMAX melting machine. Based on years of experience in purchasing polystyrene ingots from QLS Group, INTCO provided QLS Group with three solutions and suggested that they choose GREENMAX polystyrene melting densifier M-C300.

According to the suggestion, QLS Group first set up a GREENMAX melting machine in Brisbane. After 3 months of trial operation of the machine, QLS Group was very satisfied with the operation of the GREENMAX polystyrene melting machine and decided to place another melting machine in Sydney. And after comparing the usage of different models, QLS Group finally decided to choose GREENMAX M-C300. In June 2018, QLS Group received the second GREENMAX M-C300 machine. A month later, QLS Group ordered another M-C300 for polystyrene recycling at its distribution center in Melbourne.

Now QLS Group owns three GREENMAX M-C300 machines, which are placed in their three distribution centers in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. At the same time, the ingots produced by their polystyrene packaging waste after being processed by the polystyrene melting machine were sold to INTCO Recycling for the next recycling process. The cooperation between INTCO Recycling and QLS Group has helped each other's business development, promoted the circular economy, and achieved win-win results for both parties.
