Founded in 1980, after three generations of hard work, Sylvan Vale Nursery started with only one greenhouse nursery and has now become the largest nursery in British Columbia, Canada. After more than 40 years of development, Sylvan Vale Nursery has expanded to more than 200,000 square feet of fully automated control park, with 44 independent greenhouse nurseries and 2 large house nurseries on 40 acres of land in Black Creek.
In the rapid development of Sylvan Vale Nursery, EPS trays (seeding trays) are extremely important means of production. All saplings have to stay in seeding trays for a period of time in the beginning. Therefore, during the operation of Sylvan Vale Nursery, thousands of seeding trays are used every year. After these EPS trays are used many times, they will become waste materials and need to be recycled.
Sylvan Vale Nursery has been exploring how to effectively recycle these used seeding trays for nearly ten years. However, these seeding trays are all EPS foams, which are light in weight, large in size, and difficult to transport and handle. In the courtyard of Sylvan Vale Nursery, there are piles of EPS seeding trays accumulated over the past ten years that are like mountains and need to be dealt with urgently.
In the market research of Sylvan Vale Nursery, it was found that GREENMAX can provide a complete solution for recycling EPS seeding trays. As the world's leading EPS recycling expert, Greenmax has also been exploring the recycling of seeding trays for many years. EPS seeding trays have been accumulated for many years and often contain soil and various debris. The EPS densifier provided by GREENMAX can handle these impurity-containing EPS well. For some seeding trays with large volume and high density, GREENMAX EPS densifier can also be adjusted by the frequency converter to better recycle these EPS waste. In the end, Sylvan Vale Nursery chose a Mars Series EPS densifier, the M-C200 from GREENMAX, to handle its EPS seeding trays.
After several months of use of GREENMAX EPS densifier, Sylvan Vale Nursery has processed more than half of the EPS seeding trays accumulated for many years, and the recycled materials have also found a proper recycling and remanufacturing solution. It can be believed that through the efforts of more responsible companies like Sylvan Vale Nursery, all EPS seeding trays can be recycled, contributing to the environmental protection of the earth.
