Spicher’s Appliance was established in 1955 with three locations: MD, VA and PA. In the mid-1990s, Spichers decided to expand its market size while adhering to its own values and services. Despite facing financial difficulties at the time, Spichers continued to grow in the 2000s and opened a new store in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Around the same time, the owner was inspired by the growing technology and saw the potential of the connected home, which led Spichers to expand into installing electronic security systems.
In April this year, GREENMAX got in touch with the person in charge of Spicher’s Appliance after learning about its main business and business model. After detailed understanding, we found that the customer's main product is household appliances, and its waste mainly comes from the outer packaging of household appliances. Due to the lack of buyers for Styrofoam in the local market, customers have to send these waste materials to landfills for disposal.
Currently, one truckload of Styrofoam waste is sent to landfill every week, and a local charity organization helps to dispose of it for free. However, given issues such as limited landfill capacity and waste of resources, customers wanted to find a more sustainable way of handling waste for Styrofoam recycling. By recycling and processing these waste materials, we can not only reduce the burden on the environment, but also improve the economic benefits of our customers' business. Specifically, recycling can help customers save on disposal costs, open up new business opportunities, and achieve company sustainability goals.
To this end, GREENMAX plans to provide customers with an efficient Styrofoam recycling solution to put these waste materials back into use, thereby helping customers reduce their environmental impact while also making economic gains. This not only complies with environmental protection requirements, but also conforms to the customer's long-term strategy of pursuing efficient resource utilization. In order to provide customers with the most appropriate solutions, GREENMAX engineering team and sales staff repeatedly communicate with the person in charge about the desired effects during the recycling process, including the actual situation of the factory, the size and density of the waste, and the investment budget. Finally, after many discussions, Spicher’s Appliance chose to use Styrofoam densifier for recycling.
In the early stages of the exchange, the customer showed strong interest in our recycling system by understanding the service content of GREENMAX; from the input and use of Styrofoam densifier to the purchase of waste materials, GREENMAX can provide timely and efficient complete services. After two After a negotiation period of about three months, the customer became more recognized for the feasibility of Styrofoam recycling, and the feasibility of the solution was verified by peers. Spicher’s Appliance chose the GREENMAX Styrofoam densifier M-C100 to dispose waste Styrofoam packaging in the warehouse in June 2024.
Spicher’s Appliance finally chose us not only because we can provide high-quality recycling equipment, but also because GREENMAX can provide a complete recycling system. We steadily repurchase Styrofoam waste for remanufacturing, providing customers with a closed recycling loop. In addition, GREENMAX provides comprehensive after-sales services to ensure that your Styrofoam recycling project is guaranteed!
At present, the customer's styrofoam densifier has arrived at the factory, is being installed and is ready to be put into use.
