Modern Polymer was founded in 1970 and is located in NC. It mainly provides customized packaging materials EPS and EPP foam to the automotive industry, which are used for automotive bumper assemblies, crash pads, carpet inserts, and safety protection for child safety seats. It has become one of the preferred manufacturers of molded EPS and EPP foam products for automotive, aerospace and packaging.
Modern Polymer found us in 2023. Before that, we had been using styrofoam recycling machine to recycle EPP foam, and the recycled waste materials were given to third parties to finally realize the recycling and reuse of EPP. For the remaining EPS solutions, we are currently All are landfilled, with more than 10,000 lbs of waste per month. Although the landfill cost is not expensive, the transportation cost is very high. In addition to saving costs, customers are more concerned about finding a more environmentally friendly and feasible Styrofoam recycling method, making the Styrofoam recycling has become a greener and more environmentally friendly thing, contributing to environmental protection.
After GREENMAX learned of the customer's demands, we immediately visited the customer and inspected the waste materials that the customer needed to recycle. The customer's maximum material density has reached 4lbs. For the customer's high-density materials, GREENMAX designed a double crushing and enlarged motor, heating power and other customized functions. The model chosen is Styrofoam densifier M-C200, which is a medium-power device using hot melt technology and is also a model that is very popular among customers.
The compression ratio of this styrofoam melting machine can reach 90:1. It has outstanding compression capabilities among all models of equipment, effectively solving the problem of passenger transportation. At the same time, the EPS foam compressed by the Styrofoam recycling machine will also be repurchased by INTCO Recycling (GREENMAX is the machinery brand of INTCO Recycling) and transported to the factory in Malaysia for granulation. The particles will eventually be used in the production of photo frames, picture frames, mirror frames and other products, and finally sold to retail stores and other customers, providing customers with a total styrofoam recycling solution.
Up to now, the GREENMAX Styrofoam recycling machine has been in operation for 7 months. This project has reduced the space problems of guests, improved the operating efficiency of workers, and also prevented foam from being landfilled, realized environmentally friendly recycling!
