As a world-renowned automobile factory, Nissan North America occupies a considerable share of the entire automobile industry. A lot of the auto parts the company uses need to be delivered to the United States from different plants overseas for assembly. For shock resistance and shock mitigation, the parts must be transported in Styrofoam boxes. Accessories were protected, but with them came a mountain of annoying Styrofoam boxes that needed to be addressed.
Styrofoam waste is no longer what it used to be as white pollutants. Styrofoam is theoretically 100% recyclable due to its 98% air content. From pollutants to recyclables, the change in Styrofoam's positioning has also led many companies to start the business of Styrofoam recycling.
Nissan, as a leading company in the automotive industry, has its own pursuit of Styrofoam recycling, so it began to recycle its Styrofoam packaging a long time. Nissan had already purchased a machine to process its Styrofoam packaging before partnering with INTCO Recycling. However, as the use time was prolonged, the use effect of this machine became poor, and after-sales maintenance was not so satisfactory. Therefore, Nissan was considering an equipment update and choosing another partner company.
INTCO Recycling is a leader in the Styrofoam Recycling industry with decades of extensive Styrofoam Recycling experience. In the US, the GREENMAX Styrofoam compactor of INTCO Recycling is well received and the number one Styrofoam Recycling brand there. In late 2021, Nissan contacted INTCO Team through its service provider to discuss Styrofoam recycling. According to Nissan's requirements, INTCO recommend a GREENMAX Styrofoam compactor A-C200 for Nissan to dispose of their waste Styrofoam packaging.
It has been more than half a year since the machine was installed, and Nissan is very satisfied with the processing power of the GREEENMAX Styrofoam compactor. Moreover, the machine has high safety, stability, low maintenance cost, and almost no maintenance. Nissan is expected to produce around 10,000lbs Styrofoam waste packaging per month. In the future, Styrofoam can save the labor cost of handling these wastes, reduce the safety hazards of the warehouse, and play a very important role in the overall warehouse operation. In addition, Styrofoam recycling also helps drive ESG development across the company.
The partnership with NISSAN has given INTCO Recycling new insight into the automotive industry's need for Styrofoam recycling. The problem of waste Styrofoam disposal, which had plagued Nissan, was also resolved. The two industries have achieved win-win cooperation. INTCO Recycling as a recycling specialist, not only sell GREENMAX Styrofoam compactors but also buy waste Styrofoam, recycle Styrofoam, and granulates and processes them into frame products, which forms a complete recycling industry chain. Years of experience make INTCO Recycling trustworthy.
