Remondis chooses a customized polystyrene recycling system to achieve highly automated recycling in Australia

Remondis Australia Pty Ltd is a foreign-owned private company that provides waste removal and disposal services, hazardous waste disposal and environmental consultancy services. The company's Australian operation was established in Sydney's western suburbs in 1982 and has 39 sites, more than 900 employees and 550 collection vehicles. This year Remondis started recycling waste polystyrene in material recycling facility in Wingfield South Australia. The plant processes glass, aluminum cans, cardboard and paper, including a significant amount of polystyrene foam. To prevent waste polystyrene from being contaminated during transportation or mixed with other types of garbage, it is usually packaged individually in cartons or bags.

After several months of recycling work, Remodis found that using professional recycling equipment seemed to be better for polystyrene recycling, so the company's relevant person in charge contacted INTCO Recycling, hoping to use a polystyrene melting machine to help recycle polystyrene. Considering Remodis' high requirements for automation, engineers in INTCO Recycling recommend not to use a polystyrene melting machine alone for recycling. They also recommend the use of customized polystyrene recycling system to meet the requirements for a high degree of automation: Customized polystyrene recycling system composed of a polystyrene melting machine and automatic cutting, water cooling, and bag dropping systems. This significantly reduces the labor cost of forming melted polystyrene foam into ingots.

In addition to providing high-quality recycling equipment, INTCO Recycling also provides comprehensive after-sales services. The recycling team always insists on regularly traveling to various parts of Australia to provide after-sales services. Last month, engineers and sales staff traveled to Australia to coordinate commissioning and training of the equipment at the Remondis factory. It only took 1.5 days to complete the debugging and training work efficiently. In the end, the Remondis team was very satisfied with the work.

This customized polystyrene recycling system is expected to recycle 3,000 kilograms of waste polystyrene foam per month. It will recycle more than 36,000 kilograms of waste polystyrene foam every year, reducing carbon emissions by 72,000 kilograms and saving 108,000 kilograms of crude oil. Remondis contributes to the circular economy by cooperating with INTCO Recycling!
