EPE Recycling Reuse Waste EPE Packaging Materials
HP has completely revamped the packaging of its computer product line by resizing the packaging and using fiber-based materials instead of expanded polyethylene to achieve material sustainability and waste conservation issues. But with EPE recycling, the problem of disposing of discarded EPE packaging can also be solved and sustainable waste management achieved.
HP has redesigned its All-in-One packaging, and the new packaging uses about 5 grams of EPE, reducing the amount of EPE foam used by 98%. EPE foam has good shock absorption and toughness, and can effectively protect high-value items such as electronic products. However, people usually mistakenly think that EPE packaging is a disposable product, and when the product reaches the consumer, the EPE foam packaging will be directly discarded, causing a lot of pollution. As a result, many companies are looking for recyclable alternative materials for sustainable development. This will inevitably increase the operating costs of the enterprises and consume a lot of raw materials. And EPE recycling can completely realize the reuse of discarded packaging and save materials.
Waste EPE foam is actually a kind of resource with high value in the recycling market. EPE recycling can process waste EPE packaging into reusable foam blocks and recycled particles, which can be used to make brand new EPE packaging or other environmental friendlly products, realizing the reuse of resources. However, because EPE packaging is more elastic compared to other foams and small in size and light in weight, its transportation and storage are the most difficult problems in the whole EPE recycling process. GREENMAX foam compactor Zeus Series developed by INTCO Recycling is able to compact EPE foam at a ratio of 50:1 for easy and efficient transportation and storage. The foam compactor is specially designed for EPE foam recycling. In order to meet the elasticity of EPE packaging materials, the machine adds surface hot melting technology in the compaction chamber to prevent EPE foam blocks from loosening or expanding from the inside.
To increase the automation of GREENMAX foam compactor, this EPE compactor is equipped with accessories such as a conveyor belt, a metal sorting table, a silo sensing system and more. The conveyor transports the foam to the machine's shredding bin, where the screw cutter crushes it into uniform foam scraps that will be sucked into the silo by the blower. GREENMAX EPE compactor allows the crushing and compaction functions to be carried out separately, with the silo storing a large amount of foam fragments, which are then compacted when they are accumulated. This not only saves electricity costs, but also enables the timely disposal of foam waste and prevents the accumulation of EPE, which poses a safety hazard and affects the site's 5S. The foam compactor uses a screw to physically compress the foam pieces and is equipped with an automatic cut-off device.
INTCO Recycling, as an expert in EPE recycling, has helped many companies around the world to dispose of their waste EPE packaging waste and has deep experience in recycling. INTCO Recycling is able to help our customers to implement the best EPE foam recycling for all kinds of foam recycling requirements in terms of density and moisture content.
