EPS Recycling Program Arrives in Connecticut

EPS recycling projects are already underway in 30 locations, including New Jersey, Colorado, Florida, and Quebec, Canada, and now Connecticut has its first foam recycling program. Currently, 11,344,365 people can send foam packaging from electronics and furniture, as well as foam coolers, to the EPS recycling center.

An $85,000 foam recycling machine shreds EPS waste materials in white nylon bags and extracts 98% of the air from polystyrene foam. The EPS densifier melts the foam fragments and squeezes them out to form foam ingots.

These foam ingots are then used to make end products: surfboards, HVAC panels and filters. The market for extruded EPS ingots is high, at around $800 per ton (about $4 per pound).

With the help of EPS densifier, the recycling efficiency of foam can be increased by 90 times. The compacted EPS ingots can be reused in many ways, and can be made into environmentally friendly products such as flooring, helmets, cabinets, etc., or they can be made into new foam packaging, putting the closed loop system of EPS recycling into practice.

A team of students at Montclair State University uses foam ingots to make beautiful picture frames. Discarded or broken frames can be recycled and made into new picture frames again, avoiding landfills and waterways, becoming a truly circular economy recycled product.

As an expert in the field of EPS recycling, INTCO Recycling has created building materials products made of recycled foam materials and sold them globally, such as outdoor flooring, acoustic wall panels, picture frames and picture frames.

INTCO Recycling has formed a closed-loop economic system from waste foam to environmentally friendly products, and has its own unique and profound insights on EPS recycling solution. Additionally, we can also provide customers with professional EPS densifiers to help customers process the accumulated loose foam into compact extruded ingots.

There are many brands of EPS densifiers on the market now. Customers should not only pay attention to the quality of this foam recycling machine, but also pay attention to the supplier's reputation, after-sales, maintenance and other services. As a global leader in the industry, INTCO Recycling has reached in-depth cooperation with more than 1,300 companies around the world, which can guarantee the quality of the machine and reliable service.
