GREENMAX EPS Densifier Plays a Role at the Recycling Fair in Massachusetts
On March 1, Massachusetts hosted the Middleborough Refrigeration Expo in collaboration with local EPS manufacturer Insulation Technology, Inc., offering expanded polystyrene recycling service. During the event, the GREENMAX EPS densifier was used to compress clean foam materials, reducing their volume.
Insulation Technology, Inc. is one of the few companies in the state engaged in foam recycling, processing EPS into insulation materials and other eco-friendly products to minimize landfill disposal and incineration. During the recycling process, EPS materials are compressed into foam ingots, which are then further processed by other manufacturers into building insulation and various industrial products.
In the expanded polystyrene recycling process, compression is an essential step. Due to its large volume and lightweight nature, EPS occupies significant storage and transportation space. Therefore, specialized foam recycling equipment is required for volume reduction, improving logistics efficiency and lowering transportation costs.
The EPS densifier reduces foam volume through high-temperature melting while expelling internal air. Its three-stage temperature control system ensures efficient densification, compressing the foam to 1/90 of its original size. Additionally, even if the EPS material contains a small amount of moisture, the EPS melting machine can minimize its impact on the foam recycling process through a three-stage melting temperature system.
Since it primarily relies on temperature control to compress foam materials, the GREENMAX EPS densifier is extremely easy to operate. Even temporary workers with no prior mechanical experience can quickly learn to use it. The process requires only feeding and material collection, with a simple start/pause button to complete the foam recycling process.
Compared to cold-press compactors on the market, the EPS melting machine achieves an optimal 90:1 volume reduction ratio, featuring high automation and user-friendly operation, which helps businesses reduce their reliance on manual labor. At this recycling fair held in Massachusetts, GREENMAX EPS densifier was used to compress collected foam materials, delivering excellent processing results.
The compressed EPS ingots have a higher recycling value and can be sold to GREENMAX or local manufacturers for re-pelletizing. If you are interested in the EPS densifier, feel free to leave your email!
