INTCO Recycling Shows How Waste Foam be Turned into Building Materials

Connecticut has the first recycling center that uses an EPS recycling machine to process expanded polystyrene waste. Regional Waste District 1, a recycling center for Winsted, Buckhamstead and New Hartford, recently purchased an EPS recycling machine.

This innovative machine converts plastic foam into building materials such as picture frames, cabinets, etc. Or the discarded foam packaging can be compacted and granulated again for other uses.

INTCO Recycling, as a specialist in foam containers recycling, purchases foam blocks from around the world and remakes them into building materials such as outdoor flooring and acoustic wall panels.

Polystyrene foam is a packaging material used to transport items. It is reported that more than 5 billion pounds of polystyrene foam ends up in landfills and waterways every year. Unfortunately, waste foam is actually a renewable resource. Through the correct foam containers recycling, the waste material can be processed into foam blocks and recycled PS particles, which have a wide market demand.

INTCO Recycling will regranulate the acquired foam blocks into recycled PS particles, which are the raw materials for building materials products, thus forming a closed-loop foam containers recycling model. INTCO Recycling is not only very familiar with the reuse of foam, but also can provide customers with customized EPS recycling solutions.

Since foam is a lightweight packaging material, professional EPS compactors are essential, which can be used to reduce the volume of foam and improve the efficiency of subsequent transportation and space storage. INTCO Recycling independently researched the GREENMAX EPS compactor, which uses physical screw compression technology and is suitable for processing foam with high water content, such as fish boxes.

The EPS compactor first breaks up the large pieces of waste foam into uniform fragments, and uses a screw to squeeze the fragments into compact foam ingots. In addition, this EPS recycling machine of INTCO Recycling is equipped with a length detection disc device and an automatic cutting device, which can effectively prevent melting and measure the length of the discharge material for automatic cutting.

The compacted foam blocks can be sold to INTCO Recycling or other downstream recyclers for granulation. INTCO Recycling has a dedicated granulation plant to process the acquired foam into clean PS particles, which are used as raw materials in the production of building materials such as photo frames and flooring. We have mature production technology and production lines to process particles into finished products and sell them all over the world.

If you are interested in the transformation of foam from waste materials to building materials products, INTCO Recycling is happy to answer your questions about foam containers recycling or EPS compactor.
