GREENMAX Plastic Pelletizer Process Foam into Recycled Pellets in One Stop
First United Methodist Church has launched an EPS recycling program that collects all types of No. 6 plastic foam, including EPS packaging, clean post-consumer foam trays and takeout containers, from 10 a.m. to noon on the third Saturday of each month.
First United Methodist Church's Earth Care Committee began monthly EPS collections in September 2023. This foam accounts for a large portion of plastic waste. But it is also a recyclable material that can be reprocessed into eco-friendly park benches and picture frames through densification. The EPS recycling campaign has attracted attention from passers-by and church members, and the monthly collection volume continues to grow. The collected plastic foam is stored, sorted, and transported to Abt and Dart for further EPS recycling. There, the loose EPS foam is compacted into dense foam ingots, which can improve truck transportation and storage space management efficiency. EPS foam ingots need to be pelletized by a plastic pelletizer before they can be processed into recyclable materials.
Plastic pelletizer processes compacted foam ingots into PS pellets, which can be used in a variety of environmentally friendly products and the production of new polystyrene, and are very popular in the recycling market. Adding a certain proportion of recycled PS pellets in the manufacture of plastic products is not only more environmentally friendly, but also helps companies establish an ESG environmental image. As a global leader in high tech manufacturing through recycled materials, INTCO Recycling can provide a one-stop EPS recycling solution and professional GREENMAX plastic pelletizer. GREENMAX plastic pelletizer is an integrated system with high automation, which combines crushing, compaction, granulation and other functions to achieve integrated EPS recycling.
First, the large foam pieces are sent to the crushing bin of the GREENMAX plastic pelletizer through a conveyor belt, and will be broken into uniform-sized pieces by the sharp screw cutter. Then, the EPS foam pieces are transported to the compacting bin of the plastic pelletizer by the screw, and the foam will be melted into compact foam ingots at high temperature. This part uses a three-level temperature control technology, which can effectively prevent the moisture in the foam from affecting the EPS recycling process and reducing efficiency. At the same time, it can ensure that the foam is melted thoroughly at different stages, improving the quality of PS particles. The screw will stir and transport the melted foam, and the foam ingots will be extruded in strips through the filter screen and die head. The filter screen in the plastic pelletizer can filter out some impurities and ensure the purity of the recycled particles. The strip foam ingots need to be cooled in a water tank, and then be cut into particles and packaged. Among them, GREENMAX can provide a dehydration vibrating screen for this plastic pelletizer, which uses a high-efficiency vibration motor to effectively remove the moisture of PS particles and screen the finished particles.
In addition, INTCO Recycling also provides pellet sales solutions for our plastic pelletizer customers to ensure a one-stop solution for EPS recycling. INTCO Recycling provides a buyback service at a preferential price or recommends other local sales channels to customers. We will process these PS pellets into environmentally friendly products such as outdoor flooring, sound-absorbing panels, etc., and sell them in supermarkets around the world.
