Polystyrene Recycling Has Become the Most Popular Public Item in New Jersey

Last week in New Jersey, The Hawthorne Green Team finished a task of collecting waste polystyrene on the streets. The recycling results were quite impressive. On Saturday, the whole team collected a total of more than 120 packages of waste polystyrene. Since April when Hawthorne has set up a recycling instrument, recycling polystyrene has become the most popular public item—the fact that the polystyrene collection had to close early due to the container filling up ahead of schedule can prove this.

Early on April 24, the town of Hawthorne and the Hawthorne Green Team worked together and decided to hold a polystyrene recycling event at the Hawthorne Municipal Building at 9:00 a.m. to adopt the recycling facility. The aim of the campaign is to bring polystyrene into people's recycling to ensure it is properly reused. Before setting this project, Hawthorne’s government worried that residents would be not very involved in this activity. But, on the contrary, the local residents are very interested in polystyrene recycling and are active in this project. They collected polystyrene together and put it in special bags on the roadside. The Hawthorne Green Team would collect these materials and transport them to the recycling center by truck for processing by special machines.

One might wonder about the rest of the recycling process. In the past, the most common method of disposal was landfilling, but that is no longer the case. According to HGT, a Haskell recycling company would use waste polystyrene for other purposes to avoid returning the waste to the landfill. So how do these recycling companies actually handle the recycling process? In fact, this is inseparable from the polystyrene recycling machine. The general recycling machines can be divided into two kinds—compactor and densifier. Polystyrene compactor adopts the cold compacting technology which will not change the chemical structure of waste polystyrene. Differently, polystyrene densifier is designed to deal with waste polystyrene at a higher transversion ratio than compactor, but also needs to consume more power. Both machines compress the volume of polystyrene into ingots or blocks. Polystyrene ingots and blocks are easier to transport and can be re-granulated for further production of new products such as photo frames and hangers.

In the recycling market, INTCO has always taken the leading position in the industry, providing professional recycling machines --GREENMAX Polystyrene recycling machines for countless recyclers and logistics providers. The whole recycling machine is equipped with several components such as crusher, conveyors… INTCO also provides customers with specialized parts customization services and produces unique polystyrene recycling machines that meet customers' requirements and solve customers' recycling problems. Although there are many people like the residents of Hawthorne who actively participate in polystyrene recycling, it is far from enough. According to the investigation, 70% of polystyrene waste is still buried and incinerated. This process is accompanied by a large amount of pollution and high treatment costs. Based on this situation, polystyrene recycling is a field worthy of our vigorous development.
