Polystyrene Recycling in Guildford become Net Income Source
Congressman Chris Pappas toured a New Hampshire polystyrene recycling facility last week to emphasize the importance of sustainability. Last summer, the Town of Guilford received a $50,000 grant from the Foam Recycling Alliance to purchase a polystyrene recycling machine, which is the only facility in the state that can handle polystyrene recycling.
This machine solves the main problem of polystyrene recycling - transportation costs. Even if the foam has a recyclable mark on it, few people will recycle it because 90% of the foam is air, making trucking inefficient and expensive. Polystyrene recycling’s compaction of waste solves this problem and changes New Hampshire’s recycling landscape. Recycling employees collect large amounts of polystyrene waste into plastic bags and feed it into the machine one piece at a time by hand. The polystyrene melting machine then melts and compacts the foam into compact ingots, which are molded into squares and stacked on pallets. The foam ingots are then sold to a company that turns them into picture frames, moldings, foam insulation and other products. The polystyrene recycling program is a net revenue source for Guilford, generating approximately $700-$900 per ton, with both economic and environmental benefits.
Now the recycling system of polystyrene recycling has developed quite maturely, which can not only divert waste foam from landfills, but also reuse and reproduce it. INTCO Recycling is the global leader in high-tech manufacturing through recycled materials and has developed a one-stop polystyrene recycling solution. INTCO Recycling has a complete industrial chain of polystyrene recycling and reuse, from foam waste to compacted foam ingots, to foam particles, and finally made into new products. This closed-loop industrial chain realizes the recycling of foam and proves the sustainable development of foam. In addition, INTCO Recycling has conducted in-depth research on polystyrene melting machine, foam granulator and other machines, and created the GREENMAX polystyrene recycling machine brand.
GREENMAX polystyrene melting machine heat-melts foam into tight foam ingots at a high temperature and at a high ratio. In addition to its excellent compaction results, this machine is particularly special in its automation and ease of operation. The GREENMAX polystyrene melting machine can be equipped with other accessories such as conveyor belts and metal sorting tables to save labor and improve the level of automation. In addition, INTCO Recycling will also provide a series of value-added services for polystyrene recycling, including after-sales, repair and maintenance services for machines, as well as buy-back services for foam ingots.
INTCO Recycling implements an integrated polystyrene recycling solution and as a polystyrene recycling company we are willing to help you with any questions you may have.
