Styrofoam Compactor Enable Greener, more Viable Foam Recycling
Agilyx cooperated with AmSty to launch a five-year expanded polystyrene chemical recycling project that ended on April, 30. This foam recycling plant Regenyx is located in Tigard, Oregon, USA, diverting over 6 million pounds of post-consumer Styrofoam from landfills.
Agliyx used Depolymerization technology to achieve foam recycling, which is a chemical process involving high temperature and low oxygen and can separate waste from reusable materials. Then, AmSty processed these raw materials from this plant into Styrofoam resin and various plastic products. Through close cooperation, Agilyx and AmSty have put foam recycling into practice. However, a 2022 report from the Nature Conservation Commission cast doubt on this model of foam recycling. The report said this plant generated large quantities of by-products, which were burned and had a negative impact on the environment.
Actually, in addition to realizing the reuse of Styrofoam through depolymerization, there is another greener and less objectionable foam recycling method. This recycling method is to convert Styrofoam from waste into reusable foam pellets through compression and granulation. Then, through mature production technology, Styrofoam pellets will be put into the production line of various plastic products, appearing on the market in another form again. As a global leader in high-tech manufacturing through recycled materials, INTCO Recycling has already achieved this close-loop model of foam recycling and reuse. INTCO Recycling purchases lots of Styrofoam blocks and pellets around the world, which can be remanufactured into environmentally friendly wall panels, mirror frames, and baseboard decorations. These recycled products are sold in major supermarkets. Moreover, we are very happy to help other customers who want to implement foam recycling to participate in the recycling business together.
INTCO Recycling can provide a one-stop foam recycling solution and professional GREENMAX Styrofoam compactor. We will first have a deep understanding of customers’ recycling requirements and pain points like foam density, humidity, and output, and design the most suitable foam recycling solution and GREENMAX Styrofoam compactor. GREENMAX Styrofoam compactor is available in different capacities and series, handling different materials of foam. For businesses with large amounts of Styrofoam waste, we recommend Styrofoam compactor A-C300. This machine is equipped with a large silo, and the crushing and compacting functions can be performed separately. Therefore, our customers can only turn on the crushing function, accumulate foam fragments into the silo, and then start the compaction function when the silo is full. This not only saves electricity bills and is more environmentally friendly, but also saves storage space and reduces safety hazards caused by foam accumulation. For customers whose weekly foam is less and the materials are mostly fish boxes, we recommend Styrofoam compactor A-C100, which is especially designed for foam containers with higher water content, such as fish boxes, fruit boxes, etc. This series of Styrofoam compactor uses screw physical compression technology, which is quite environmentally friendly and ensures that moisture will not have any impact on the foam recycling process.
INTCO Recycling provides an integrated foam recycling solution to help you solve any problems and work together to build a greener world.
