Town of Vail Offers Polystyrene Recycling Service

The town of Vail hosted its biennial “Hard to Recycle” event on Friday, November 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ford Park parking lot, during which EPS coolers and packaging, along with many other materials, were collected.

The current national recycling rate is 32%, Colorado’s recycling rate is 15.3%, and Vail’s recycling rate has reached 36% by 2023. Among them, Galvanize Recycling in Colorado Springs collected soft plastics and white rigid foam packaging materials for polystyrene recycling.

The collected foam packaging waste will be reprocessed by specialized recyclers and produced into reusable products, such as fuel for certain industries or environmentally friendly products. Polystyrene recycling can put waste foam materials back into the market with a new identity, realizing the reuse of renewable resources.

For example, foam waste can be professionally processed into compact foam blocks and PS particles, which can be reprocessed into environmentally friendly photo frames. Most traditional photo frames rely on wood or new plastic materials for production. Making photo frame products with recycled foam materials can not only save the consumption of natural resources, but also divert waste resources from landfills, reduce environmental pollution, and realize polystyrene recycling.

In addition to photo frames, recycled foam materials can also be used in the production of environmentally friendly products such as outdoor floors, house skirtings, and home building materials. As a world-renowned foam recycling equipment supplier, GREENMAX has multiple environmentally friendly product production lines. We produce a variety of building materials products and sell them in supermarkets and retail stores around the world. GREENMAX can provide customers with a one-stop foam recycling solution and other professional recycling equipment like polystyrene compactor.

The process of polystyrene recycling is efficient and simple: first, the foam will be compressed by the polystyrene compactor, and then granulated. The foam can be transformed from waste material into compact polystyrene foam blocks and PS particles. GREENMAX polystyrene compactor will compact the loose foam to 1/50 of its original volume, effectively improving the efficiency of subsequent waste management and reducing various processing costs.

GREENMAX provides sales solutions for compacted foam blocks to our foam compactor customers. We repurchase at preferential prices or provide customers with other local sales channels to help them realize the monetization of waste foam materials and obtain economic benefits from polystyrene recycling.

The purchased foam blocks will be transported to GREENMAX's factory in Malaysia and granulated into PS particles for the production of environmentally friendly building materials such as picture frames, photo frames, sound-absorbing wall panels, etc. As an industry leader in the true practice of closed-loop polystyrene recycling, GREENMAX has sufficient experience and technology to provide customers with practical foam recycling solutions.

GREENMAX is committed to promoting environmental protection. If you have a need for polystyrene recycling solution or are interested in polystyrene compactor, please feel free to contact us.
