The city of Sturgis has recently launched a Styrofoam recycling project, which accepts any type of foam waste, including Styrofoam takeaway containers, egg cartons, cups, foam freezers, rinsed meat trays, and protective-packaging foam from shipping boxes and any other plastic foam waste with the No. 6 recycling mark.

The Styrofoam recycling event is co-sponsored by Dart Container Corporation, starting at 9 am and ending at noon on Saturday. It will be held at the Sturgis Department of Public Services located north of Centerville North.
